John Cohen
John is a Research Fellow at the Claremont Institute’s Center for the American Way of Life, where he teaches seminars on the political philosophy of thinkers such as Plato, Hobbes, Strauss, and Heidegger. His interests include the interrelation of philosophy and law, the philosophical history of liberalism, and the relationship of philosophy to the imitative arts. He has written for numerous outlets, including Newsweek, The Federalist, The American Mind, American Affairs, The National Interest, and The American Conservative. John holds an M.A. from the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service and, in a past life, conducted research in the biological sciences at the California Institute of Technology.
